On Saturday 22 August 2026, Northmead Montessori Academy welcomed local families, children and community representatives for a special Grand Opening and Family Fun Day, celebrating the arrival of our newest Montessori early learning and preschool campus in the City of Parramatta.
Throughout the morning, families were invited to explore the purpose-built campus, discover the Montessori classrooms and outdoor learning environments, and meet the educators who will welcome children into the centre. Children enjoyed exploring Montessori materials and hands-on learning experiences, while parents had the opportunity to learn more about our education programs and see how each environment has been thoughtfully prepared to support children from infancy to six years of age.
The occasion was made even more special by the attendance of The Hon Alex Hawke MP, Member for Mitchell; Deputy Mayor Clr Charles Chen, City of Parramatta Council; Clr Georgina Valjak, City of Parramatta Council; Clr Tanya Rffoul, City of Parramatta Council; and Father Menard Gaspi of St Bernadette’s Parish. We were honoured to welcome our special guests and have them join local families and the Montessori Academy team in celebrating this exciting milestone for the Northmead community.
Beyond the classrooms, there was plenty for children and families to enjoy throughout the day. An interactive animal farm, face painting and family activities brought plenty of excitement, while families enjoyed refreshments and the opportunity to connect with our educators and wider community.
The Grand Opening marks an exciting new chapter for Northmead Montessori Academy. We look forward to becoming part of the local community and welcoming families through our doors as we bring authentic Montessori early education to Northmead.
Our Northmead Campus
Conveniently located at 65 Moxhams Road, Northmead, directly opposite Northmead Public School, Northmead Montessori Academy has been purpose-built to provide a calm, engaging and carefully prepared early learning environment for children aged six weeks to six years.
The campus features three intentionally designed Montessori classrooms and three secure, age-appropriate outdoor playgrounds, providing children with opportunities for hands-on learning, movement, exploration and connection with nature.
