A start with Montessori Academy means an extraordinary start to learning. Every centre is built around the child, with indoor and outdoor spaces designed for them, Montessori-trained educators who know them well, and a curriculum that brings together the best of the Montessori approach and the National EYLF. Together, these keep each child’s experience at the heart of our days.

It is the everyday things that families tell us they notice first. They talk about our centres that feel welcoming, clean and well organised, and educators who are warm and always happy to help. They value our structured curriculum with consistent routines, and they love watching their child’s confidence and independence grow. For many, the best moment is seeing their child walk in each morning with a smile.

As we bring this same care and experience to families across Greater Brisbane and the Gold Coast, we look forward to welcoming you and getting to know your family. Find a centre near you to enquire, or give us a quick call to speak with our Family Care Team.

Montessori education nurtures each child’s natural curiosity through hands-on learning, purposeful play and opportunities to build independence. In a thoughtfully prepared classroom, children explore specially designed Montessori materials at their own pace, with educators guiding and extending their learning.
Children take an active role in their day, choosing activities that spark their interest while developing practical life skills, concentration and confidence. This personalised approach supports their social, emotional, physical and cognitive development, helping foster a lifelong love of learning.
Montessori Academy offers distinct programs for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, with learning experiences tailored to each child’s interests and stage of development. Our curriculum includes Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics and Cultural Studies, helping children build independence, confidence and a love of learning.
  • Infants explore through movement, sensory experiences and nurturing interactions that support early communication, coordination and connection.
  • Toddlers develop language, practise everyday skills and discover growing independence through hands-on activities, such as pouring, sorting and caring for their environment.
  • Preschoolers and Kinder Children deepen their learning through practical life activities, early literacy and numeracy, sensory exploration, and discoveries about nature, geography and different cultures.
Across each program, educators guide children as they explore purposeful materials at their own pace, supporting their social, emotional, physical and cognitive development. Your chosen centre can share more about the learning experiences available in each program.

All our Queensland centres provide high-quality education and care for children aged six weeks to six years. Opening hours vary by centre, so please visit your chosen centre’s location page for the most up-to-date information.

All our centres provide meals, nappies and wipes as part of the daily fee. Please contact your chosen centre for its current daily rate, a full list of inclusions and details of any additional charges. Your out-of-pocket cost will depend on your booking and any Child Care Subsidy (CCS) or other funding available to your family.

The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) helps eligible families with the cost of care at approved services. From 5 January 2026, CCS-eligible families can receive at least 72 hours of subsidised care per fortnight, with Services Australia determining each family’s entitlement. Childcare places are subject to availability. Please contact your chosen centre to confirm its CCS approval, discuss daily fees and learn more about your out-of-pocket costs.

Free Kindy provides eligible children with 15 hours of kindergarten per week for up to 40 weeks per year in an approved program. Children generally need to be at least four by 30 June in the year before they start school. Depending on when funding is received by the centre, it may be applied to your fees after your child’s enrolment begins. Additional long-day-care fees may apply outside funded kindy hours. Please contact your chosen centre to confirm participation and discuss how funding applies to your enrolment.

We recommend enquiring as early as possible to give your family the best opportunity to secure your preferred centre and days. Share your child’s age, preferred days and approximate start date, and our team will guide you through current availability and waitlist options. If you join our waitlist, we’ll stay in touch as suitable places become available. Availability varies by age group and centre, and enrolment is confirmed once a place has been offered and accepted.

Help your child feel ready for care by speaking positively about their new routine, preparing their belongings together and attending an orientation session. Share your child’s interests, sleep and feeding routines, and comfort needs with our educators so we can support a familiar, reassuring transition. Your chosen centre can explain its settling-in support and how we’ll keep you connected as your child settles in.

Choose your preferred location below and submit an enquiry through Montessori Academy’s enquiry page. Our team will be in touch to book your tour at a time that suits your family.

The transition from Edge to Montessori Academy is underway but has not yet been completed. Completion is pending the transfer of service approval and finalisation of the relevant agreements.
