Montessori Academy is coming soon to Pimpama, bringing two long day care and kindergarten centres to support the growing needs of local families. Backed by more than 25 years of experience in early childhood education, we are proud to be joining the Pimpama community and providing children with a strong foundation for learning and development.
In the meantime, families can learn more about our Montessori approach and explore our other Queensland centres as we prepare to open our doors in Pimpama.

Early Learning Close to Home in Pimpama
Once open, Montessori Academy’s two Pimpama centres will support families throughout their early learning journey across Pimpama, Ormeau, Coomera, Willow Vale and surrounding communities within the City of Gold Coast.
Pimpama Montessori Academy will be conveniently located on Charles Avenue, directly opposite Pimpama State Primary College, with easy onsite parking for families. North Pimpama Montessori Academy will be located on Old Pacific Highway, just a short 6-minute walk or 1-minute drive from Pimpama Train Station, providing convenient access for commuting families.
Together, our two centres will offer local families greater choice and flexibility, delivering authentic Montessori early learning from infancy through to kindergarten in nurturing, purpose-built environments.

What is the difference between Montessori and standard childcare? +
Montessori education is a child-led approach where children choose their own activities from a carefully prepared environment. Rather than following a teacher-directed timetable, children work at their own pace, guided by educators who act as facilitators rather than instructors.
This approach builds deep independence, concentration, and confidence from a very early age, qualities that serve children well beyond their time with us and into their school years.
Our focus isn't on entertaining children. It's on activating their natural desire to learn.
How is Montessori different to play-based childcare? +
Montessori is a structured, hands-on approach to early learning where children learn through purposeful activity, repetition, and real understanding. Using scientifically designed materials in carefully prepared environments, children choose their own work, follow their own interests, and build independence, concentration, coordination, and academic foundations at their own pace.
The result is children who become capable, confident learners through meaningful experiences in practical life, language, mathematics, sensorial learning, culture, and social development, not just children who are kept busy and happy during the day.

Yes. Once our Pimpama centres begin accepting tours, we would love for you to visit before you decide. A tour is the best way to see the Montessori work cycle in action, meet our team, and explore the classrooms and outdoor spaces your child will call their own.

What will a day at Montessori Academy look like for my child? +
A day at Montessori Academy follows a gentle, predictable rhythm. Children arrive, are greeted warmly by their educators, and settle into the prepared environment. The morning is built around the Montessori work cycle, a long, uninterrupted stretch where children choose their own work and build focus, independence, and confidence, with progressive morning tea served along the way.
Outdoor play follows, with plenty of space to climb, run, and explore nature, then group time and lunch, where older children set the table and serve themselves. After lunch, younger children rest while older children enjoy quiet activities, with each child's own rhythm respected. The afternoon brings afternoon tea, more time outdoors and indoor play, and at pick-up your child's educators share the highlights of their day.
