On Saturday 12 September 2026, Bankstown North Montessori Academy welcomed local families, children and community representatives for a vibrant Grand Opening and Family Fun Day, celebrating the arrival of our newest Montessori early learning and preschool campus in the City of Canterbury Bankstown. This milestone brings us to two childcare centres in Bankstown, giving even more local families access to genuine Montessori early learning.
Throughout the day, families were invited to explore the purpose-built campus, discover the Montessori classrooms and outdoor learning environments, and meet the educators who will welcome children into the centre. Children enjoyed exploring Montessori materials and hands-on learning experiences, while parents had the opportunity to learn more about our education programs and see how each environment has been thoughtfully prepared to support children from infancy to six years of age.
The occasion was made even more special by the attendance of Deputy Mayor Rachelle Harika from the City of Canterbury Bankstown and Father Anthony Azzi from Saint Charbel’s Maronite Parish. We were honoured to welcome our special guests and have them join local families and the Montessori Academy team in celebrating this exciting milestone for the Bankstown community.
The Grand Opening ceremony was brought to life with traditional Arabic drummers, who led guests towards the ceremony with an energetic live performance. Following the official proceedings, spectacular lion dancers concluded the ceremony with a colourful performance that delighted children and families.
Beyond the ceremony, there was plenty for children and families to discover throughout the day. Little ones enjoyed face painting, balloon twisting and bubbles, while our interactive robot experience brought an exciting touch of technology to the celebrations. IFA Sports also joined us on the day, giving children the opportunity to get active and enjoy a fun, interactive soccer experience. Families gathered over freshly baked pizza and refreshments, making the day a wonderful opportunity to connect, explore the new campus and celebrate together.
The Grand Opening marks an exciting new chapter for Bankstown North Montessori Academy. We look forward to becoming part of the local community and welcoming families through our doors as we bring authentic Montessori early education to Bankstown North.
Our Bankstown North Campus
Located at 517 Chapel Road, Bankstown NSW 2200, Bankstown North Montessori Academy has been purpose-built to provide a calm, engaging and carefully prepared early learning environment for children aged six weeks to six years.
The campus features five intentionally designed Montessori classrooms and five secure, age-appropriate outdoor playgrounds, providing children with opportunities for hands-on learning, movement, exploration and the development of independence, concentration and confidence.
