Barangaroo Childcare & Early Learning Centre
Our Barangaroo childcare and early learning centre is conveniently located in the thriving business hub of Barangaroo at 33-49 Sussex Street, Sydney NSW 2000. The early learning centre offers 5-minute drop-off and pick-up parking around the corner as well as easy access to Sydney’s CBD via public transport.
With a modern three-level design, our Barangaroo childcare centre showcases seven Montessori classrooms that allow for smaller class sizes and more time one-on-one. Each classroom is filled with unique educational materials that connect with children’s interests and needs at each stage of development to provide them with the optimal environment for learning.
Beyond the classroom, our Barangaroo preschool and early learning centre features four tremendously large outdoor play spaces. The 0-2 outdoor spaces feature gardens, a sandpit, sensory walls, climbing equipment, soft spaces, water play, soft fall animals, and plenty of room to crawl, walk, and run. In the 2-6 outdoor spaces, children have access to a climbing wall, bike track, dramatic play corner, fixed equipment, slide, sandpit, gardens, water play, an art station plus so much more.
The team at Barangaroo Montessori Academy are passionate Montessori educators who personalise the curriculum to suit each child. Educators observe children’s interests, direct them towards activities suited to their stage of development, and create a positive atmosphere for learning that allows children to discover learning outcomes on their own and in their own time.

Barangaroo Childcare Daily Routines
Daily routines provide a consistent pattern of activities for learning time, meals, rest, and outdoor play. This predictability helps children to feel secure and positively influences their emotional, cognitive, and social development. The daily routine for each age group is adapted to meet children’s needs, support emerging interests, and nurture the development of each child’s personality and intelligence.View Daily Routines
I am a big believer of early childhood education, because as many studies prove, 80% of a child’s brain is developed by age five. I have toured many childcare places and used a few in Australia and the U.S. and I am so glad I found Montessori Barangaroo. My older child graduated here three years ago and now my younger one is here. I can’t be happier. I know my kids are not only getting love, feeling happy but more importantly, they are getting stimulated as much as they could. The teachers love what they do.
We recently moved back to the U.S. and are so sad we couldn’t take all of the Montessori crew with us! This was the best day care experience we have had. Beautiful, clean facilities and healthy catered food for the kids. The educators are so great at developing unique relationships with the kids and providing structure. My son felt like these people were his family – he went from 8 months of age to 23 months. I couldn’t recommend this place more highly. Absolutely love and MISS it!
Barangaroo Preschool & Early Learning Curriculum
The Montessori Curriculum offers children five key areas of study: Practical Life, Sensorial, Mathematics, Language, and Culture. Each learning area is made up of a set of Montessori materials that each teach one key knowledge area or skill. Through repetition and practice, children develop a foundational understanding of each material, and master the core competencies within each curriculum area.
The Child Care Subsidy is a government payment that reduces families out-of-pocket costs for childcare, including: Centre Based Day Care, Family Day Care or Outside School Hours Care.
Each family’s Child Care Subsidy covers a percentage of the childcare centre’s daily fees. Families pay the gap fee. If you’re new to childcare we recommend that you apply for the claim as soon as possible. For more information, you can visit Services Australia.Learn More
