Our Lane Cove child care centre offers three prepared classroom environments that are vibrant and well-resourced with a full suite of authentic Montessori materials. The Montessori materials in each classroom are divided into five Curriculum Areas, on low open shelves, including Practical Life, Sensorial, Mathematics, Language and Culture.
What’s unique about the Montessori materials, is that each material is designed with a control of error, which leads children towards understanding through repetition and practice. As we say at Montessori Academy, practice makes permanent. The Montessori materials increase in difficulty as children progress through the Montessori Education Program. In this way, learning is child-centred, and tailored to the developmental needs and interests of each individual student.
In addition to our unique classroom environment, our Lane Cove child care centre offers a vibrant outdoor play area complete with gardens, veggie patch, gross motor activities, and sandpit. The seamless integration of engaging classrooms, and natural outdoor play spaces, offers children the ideal place to cultivate a life-long love of learning as a positive foundation for school and life success.

The Montessori Program goes beyond academics to embrace the child as a whole person, taking into account their talents, social skills, physical and emotional wellbeing, and the need to make learning interactive, engaging and fun!

The Benefits of Montessori Education
The Montessori Method has been widely recognised as the leading format for education worldwide. It helps children to learn more effectively than conventional approaches because it is child-centred, self-paced, embraces each child’s unique interests and strengths, values individuality, and empowers students with the knowledge and skills to achieve their full potential through hands-on learning experiences.
Beginning at an early age, Montessori Education assists children in developing a sense of order, social skills, coordination, communication skills, emotional intelligence, concentration and independence. As students progress through the Montessori Education Program, they begin to self-correct, look critically at their work, and establish a love of learning as a foundation for school and life.Learn More
