The campus is open on weekdays from 7:30am – 6:00pm and is conveniently located on Level 2 of Little Saigon Plaza located at 462 Chapel Rd, Bankstown NSW 2200.
Our Bankstown child care centre offers three prepared classroom environments that are vibrant and well-resourced with the leading Montessori Materials available internationally. The Montessori Materials in each classroom are divided into five Curriculum Areas, including Practical Life, Sensorial, Mathematics, Language and Culture.
What’s unique about the Montessori Materials, is that each material is designed with a control of error, which leads children towards understanding through repetition and practice. As we say at Montessori Academy, practice makes permanent. Montessori Materials increase in difficulty as children progress through the Montessori Education Program. In this way, learning is child-centred, and tailored to the developmental needs and interests of each individual student.
In addition to our unique classroom environments, our Bankstown child care centre offers a vibrant outdoor play area complete with mud kitchen, imaginative play, gardens, veggie patch, gross motor activities, and sandpit. The seamless integration of engaging classrooms, and natural outdoor play spaces, offers children the ideal place to cultivate a life-long love of learning as a positive foundation for school and life success.
Montessori Education Program
Bankstown Montessori Academy delivers a Montessori Early Education and Preschool Program for children aged 0 – 6 years in a long day care format. Our mission is: “Preparing children for school and life.”
Through our unique learning environments, Montessori Materials, and teaching philosophy, we facilitate hands-on learning experiences designed to support each child’s sense of belonging, confidence, independence and agency.
Our approach to education is grounded in the belief that children have a natural desire to learn, and that each child’s distinct personality and learning style should be nurtured and respected.
Through our individualised learning programs, we empower our students with the knowledge, tools, and skills that that will unlock a life-long love of learning.
The Montessori Curriculum covers five key learning areas, including: Practical Life, Sensorial, Mathematics, Language and Culture.
The cornerstone of the Montessori Curriculum is the Montessori materials, which are sensory based learning tools that are designed to provide children with opportunities to discover learning through repetition and practice.
The Montessori materials guide children through the Montessori Curriculum and increase in complexity as student’s progress through the Montessori Education Program.
This clear sequence provides children with a logical pathway to learning that promotes the gradual layering of knowledge to establish foundational learning.
