Saturday 17th August 2024 marked the grand opening of Montessori Academy’s second Toongabbie early learning centre. The Toongabbie Metella Road campus welcomed over 450 guests for a vibrant celebration of community, learning, and fun!
The day began with self-guided tours followed by the exciting ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking the official opening of our state-of-the-art facilities. Distinguished guests, including Councillor Susai Benjamin and Fr Charbel Abboud, offered kind words about this significant Blacktown City Council milestone and acknowledged how well-rounded children are the future of our society.
Families continued self-guided tours of our three spacious Montessori classrooms and two outdoor playgrounds, where they could see first-hand the engaging and educational prepared environment we provide for children.
Metella Road Montessori Academy’s knowledgeable team of educators were on hand to answer questions, showcase the centre’s specialty Montessori learning materials, and discuss our unique approach to fostering independent learning and creativity.
For our young visitors, the event was packed with wonder and entertainment. Children explored harmonious learning environments, engaged with Montessori activities, and made new friends in the playground and beyond. The petting zoo drew a crowd, offering children the chance to interact with adorable animals, while the gelato cart kept everyone cool with refreshing flavours. The face-painting station added a splash of colour, with many little ones leaving with beautifully painted faces and big smiles.
The success of our Open Day would not have been possible without the support of our dedicated staff and the wonderful families who attended. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us and made the day special.
