On Saturday 28th February, Montessori Academy proudly celebrated the Grand Opening of our Riverwood Childcare and Early Learning Centre, located at 22 Thurlow Street, Riverwood NSW 2210. The special event marked an exciting milestone as our 65th centre nationally and our first within the Georges River Council region.
Local families, educators and community members gathered to experience the centre’s purpose-built Montessori learning environments, thoughtfully prepared to support children from infancy through to preschool. Guests explored beautifully designed classrooms featuring practical life materials, sensory experiences and hands-on learning resources that foster independence, concentration and confidence.
The celebration was filled with energy and connection. Children engaged in interactive Montessori activities and family-friendly experiences, while parents connected with our passionate educators to learn more about the Montessori approach and how it supports each child’s unique developmental journey.
We were honoured to welcome Mark Coure MP for Oatley, Zhi Soon MP for Banks, Councillor Peter Mahoney from Georges River Council, and Fr Charbel Abboud from St Raymond’s Parish. Their presence reflected the importance of strong community partnerships and access to high-quality early learning within the growing Riverwood community.
