Montessori Academy joins the Queanbeyan-Palerang community

Saturday 19th June 2021 marked the Grand Opening of Queanbeyan Montessori Academy, a magnificent childcare centre for ages 0 to 6. The new community landmark is the first Montessori early learning centre in the Queanbeyan-Palerang region and offers exceptional Montessori early education programs for infant, toddler and preschool children.

The purpose-built long day care, designed and led by Verity Construction, is conveniently located at 57 Tharwa Road, Queanbeyan West NSW 2620. The two-year project saw the emergence an outstanding childcare facility that features seven equipped Montessori classrooms, and two superb outdoor play areas.

To celebrate the grand opening of this prestigious establishment, Queanbeyan Montessori Academy childcare hosted a jungle-themed family fun day. Families and guests enjoyed a BBQ luncheon, children’s entertainment, campus tours, and formalities including the official ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Over 500 friends and family from the Queanbeyan-Palerang region graced the centre to celebrate this community milestone. This included notable guests: Council Mayor Councillor Tim Overall, Deputy Mayor Councillor Michele Biscotti, and Father Troy Bobbin from St Gregory’s Parish.

Montessori Academy co-founder and director Colette Assaf shared, “Thank you for joining us to celebrate the grand opening of our 39th Australian childcare centre. Montessori early education is an aid for life that transcends conventional day care, and we cannot wait to share these quality early learning experiences with your family.”
