Classes Begin at Engadine Montessori Academy

On Tuesday, September 12, children and teachers began their first day at the new Montessori Academy child care centre, a state-of-the-art early learning facility, located at 52 Waratah Road, Engadine.

The new campus has space for up to 78 infants, toddlers and preschoolers aged six weeks to six years, and is open long day hours from 7:30am – 6:00pm on week days.

“It truly is a beautiful learning space that has been specifically designed to meet the complete education and care needs of young children as they grow.

“Our first day of classes on Tuesday was truly dazzling. We have been desperately waiting to open our doors, and can’t wait to begin getting to know our wonderfully unique students and families,” said Donna Brown, Area Manager at Engadine Montessori Academy.

Boasting five beautifully designed Montessori classrooms, and two vibrant outdoor play areas, Engadine Montessori Academy encourages hands-on learning through exploration and play.

The campus classrooms host a full suite of Montessori learning materials, dynamic learning spaces, reading nooks, and a huge supply of art and craft materials to promote creativity and collaboration.

In the outdoor area, the gardens contain fruit trees, sustainable water play activities, rock climbing, cubby houses, sandpits, tricycle tracks, and climbing frames to encourage exploration and gross motor development.

Lamisse Kazzi, New Centre Set Up Manager at Montessori Academy, said that the Engadine campus team is committed to delivering an exceptional early educational program that exceeds the Australian Government’s National Quality Standards.

“Through our holistic focus on child-development, self-correcting learning materials, and passionate teachers, our learning programs empower children with a love of learning, and the ability to achieve their full potential,” she said.

Engadine Montessori Academy is located the beautifully refurbished Boys’ Town Hospital, conveniently located next to St John Bosco Catholic Primary School, and adjacent to St John Bosco College, and Dunlea Centre.

The new child care centre is a welcome addition to the Sutherland Shire area, offering a Montessori early learning and preschool program, in an accessible long day child care package.

Parents enrolling their children at Engadine Montessori Academy can choose between a number of care options, starting with two days of attendance per week, to ensure children thrive in the Montessori program.
