Empowering Leadership: Growth Leaders Day for Childcare Centre Managers

By Montessori Academy21/10/24

On Friday, 11th October 2024, Montessori Academy hosted a successful Growth Leaders Day Workshop, followed by a Pink Ribbon Breakfast in Croydon. This event brought together centre managers and second-in-charges from across our network, providing an opportunity for professional development, team bonding, and fundraising for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Growth Leaders Day Workshop

The workshop focused on leadership, growth strategies, and best practices, ensuring our centres continue to deliver high-quality early childhood education. Throughout the day, attendees participated in interactive sessions led by Parousia Media’s director, Charbel Raish, covering topics such as affirming ones’ purpose, how to show up as your best self, effective team management, and optimising communication.

Our leaders engaged in thoughtful discussions on how to nurture positive, supportive, and engaging learning environments for children, staff, and families alike. These conversations were instrumental in reinforcing our core values and equipping our managers with the skills and knowledge needed to foster growth and innovation across our centres.

Pink Ribbon Breakfast

While we were graced with the lovely presence of team members travelling from near and far, we hosted a Pink Ribbon Breakfast in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It was a special moment for our community to come together, raise awareness, and contribute to a meaningful cause. Everyone enjoyed a delicious and pink-themed morning tea, and the event provided an opportunity for our leaders to unwind, connect, and reflect on the importance of supporting health and wellbeing initiatives.

Overall, the Growth Leaders Day Workshop and Pink Ribbon Breakfast were a resounding success, reflecting Montessori Academy’s commitment to continuous improvement, team cohesion, and making a positive impact. We thank all our centre managers, second-in-charges, and guest speakers for their participation and look forward to continuing to grow together.
