Welcome To Our Box Hill Childcare & Kindergarten
At Montessori Academy’s Box Hill Childcare & Kindergarten, we recognise that every child is unique in their learning and development. We nurture this belief through our Montessori and Cycle 1 programs, tailored by our Montessori-trained educators to meet each child’s individual needs. Our educators also offer weekly free Mandarin lessons to enrich their learning experience.
This centre is a Victorian government-approved kindergarten and one of our childcare locations in Melbourne & Victoria. It is located at 582-584 Elgar Rd, Box Hill North 3129, and is open weekdays from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
Learning Spaces That Inspire
Our Box Hill Early Learning Centre features a modern two-storey design with six spacious, light-filled classrooms. Every corner is thoughtfully designed and filled with authentic Montessori materials that support learning and growth, building strong foundations in literacy and numeracy.
Outside, children enjoy three extensive play areas with gardens, sandpits, climbing equipment, water play, and plenty of space to explore, discover, and learn.
Our centre is designed with little learners in mind, to support, nurture, and help them become the best they can be while enjoying their learning journey.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will the 3-day Guarantee apply at Box Hill Montessori Academy?
Montessori Academy childcare and kinders in Victoria actively participate in government programs to pass on maximum benefits to families as best as possible.
Box Hill Montessori Academy will offer the 3-day guarantee from 2026, allowing CCS-eligible families to receive 72-hours of subsidised care per fortnight. This equals to approximately three full days in subsidised care at Montessori Academy’s Box Hill kinder and daycare.
Do children engage in sensory or messy play?
At Box Hill Montessori Academy, we recognise that learning and wellbeing encompasses the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive aspects of each child’s development. Our holistic program goes beyond academics to nurture creativity, independence, and a love of learning.
While Montessori classrooms focus on purposeful, hands-on materials, we also incorporate sensory and messy play experiences when they enhance learning and align with children’s interests. These activities support fine motor development, problem-solving, and self-expression.
For example, children may explore a sensory tub with ocean jelly, sand, and sea animals to celebrate World Ocean Day. This links to the Montessori Culture curriculum and the EYLF by fostering belonging, curiosity, and an understanding of the world around them.
Is there a pre-school or kindergarten program?
Box Hill Montessori Academy offers an integrated preschool and kindergarten program that is aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). Our Montessori curriculum recognises that learning isn’t linear and lays early foundations for school readiness outcomes from day one.
As an authorised VIC Funded Kindergarten partner, families can also claim up to $2,101 rebate in addition to Child Care Subsidy (CCS) and the upcoming 3 Day Guarantee in 2026.
