Montessori Academy’s Altona Meadows childcare centre is located at 32-36 Balaclava Ave, Altona Meadows VIC 3028. The Montessori long daycare centre is Montessori Academy’s fourth Melbourne campus after their Box Hill, Clayton and Forest Hill locations.

The Altona Meadows preschool and early learning centre for ages six weeks to six years offers nutritious catered meals, is sun-safe, allergy aware, and has safe drop-off and pick-up parking.

Featuring an contemporary open-plan design, our Altona Meadows campus offers spacious Montessori classrooms for infants, toddlers and preschoolers that allows for small class sizes.

Each classroom is filled with unique educational materials that connect with children’s interests and needs at each stage of development to provide them with the optimal environment for learning.

Beyond the classroom, are exceptional outdoor play spaces enriched with a range of gross motor activities to inspire learning through exploration.

During their final year of preschool, children at Altona Meadows Montessori Academy participate in a comprehensive School Readiness Program that targets core academic competencies and school readiness skills. This ensures children are well prepared to make a successful transition to any type of primary school environment.

The School Readiness Program incorporates a series of workbooks that introduce children to primary school subjects in a traditional learning format. This is complemented by a hands-on approach to teaching school readiness skills such as proper pencil grip, cutting skills, letter and number formation, emotional regulation, following instructions, problem solving, and concentration.
